Furzone Products are manufactured in China by Han Lien International. They were developed to be the best grooming clippers and grooming blades in this industry. Han Lien also makes a very extensive line of grooming supplies, equine supplies. The clippers themselves are very powerful for the size, and have been called "The Cadillac of Clippers" in other countries.   No monthly lever changes, they have a solid lever on a direct drive system. The Furzone blades are one of the hardest made with a Rockwell hardness of 62. The edge on these blades will last longer than most other blades if you clean and lubricate the blades properly (blade oil & blade wash).

You won't find any Furzone products in any catalog, they are sold exclusively by individual distributors. This gives  a "one-on-one" customer service, no middle man. Best factory customer service you will find anywhere, proven by over 20 years in the clipper business for both animal and equine.
Northern Tails is also a Furzone repair center if ever needed.

The cord can be repaired without it being replaced like other clipper cords.

Note: The Furzone clipper does not run as fast as an Andis clipper. WHY? Because they Furzone clipper motor has the highest torque value among any clipper motor made today. Torque is the ability of the motor to hold speed while under a load. The Furzone clipper doesn't have to run fast because it holds speed at lower RPM's with a load. The clipper you're probably using now has a high speed of 4500 RPMs, because under a load it slows down so much. You have to run your clipper on high speed which makes the blades hot quicker. If you need a fast running clipper to fit your grooming style, maybe the Furzone is not the clipper for you.

Yes, your Andis blades, and any other A5 series blade will fit the 610

Putting a Blade on a Clipper Properly
No matter how you were taught to put a blade on your clipper, your not suppose to "slap" it on, you have to raise the latch to put a blade on, and raise it to take it off. WHY? Because if you notice, when the tongue of the hinge is open, the latch, and the hook on the end of the latch is resting on the hinge. If you "slap" a blade on, without raising the latch, that hook on the end will hit the socket on the blade. Two things can happen. First, After a while of doing this you will tilt the front of the socket of the blade down in front, and blades wont hook on and just rattle or pop off. Second, you will break the hook off the end of the latch and then no blades will lock on your hinge, and you will need a new hinge. The movie below will show you how easy it is to put a blade on a Furzone, or an Andis clipper properly. Both clippers take the same procedure to do this.
Here are some reasons why the Furzone 610 is the best clipper
The 610 has a direct drive lever system attached to a powerful 12 volt Matsushita can motor. This combination allows rpm staying power at lower rpm's. You won't need high speed in tough coat or with a comb attachment on in most cases. The lever is heavy duty and doesn't need changed every month. The lever in my 610 ran 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, and in 6 months the old lever looked like it had little wear compared to the new lever I was going to install.
Shorting cords are a big issue these days because most clippers use the body halves that pinch down on the cord to hold it in place as it enters the rear of the clipper. The 610 has a different system. There is actually a hole in the rear of the clipper for the cord to pass through, and then it's secured INSIDE the clipper with a clamp. You can bend, or roll this clipper and the chances of the cord shorting out is very slim. There is a big savings there, no buying cords a couple times a year for your present clipper. Cord twisting is a problem with all clippers. You must un-twist your clipper cords weekly or they could short out. Shorting out cords are not covered under the limited Furzone warranty, but it can be repaired and not replaced. Furzone did it right!!!
When and if you ever have to change your lever, there is a cap on the front. Loosen it with a flat head screwdriver, lift out the old one and put in the new one. ANYBODY can do this. We'll give you an instruction sheet explaining in detail and pictures how its done..
This is just a comparison in size to another great clipper we have running in our shop every day. The 610 is one ounce heavier than the Excel, but my groomers can't feel the weight difference. The Excel in my opinion is the best clipper Andis makes. We have three in the shop.
